Conference Theme: Making a Difference — Prioritizing Equity and Access in CSCL

The conference theme focuses on the need to consider issues such as equity, access, and inclusion in the design, implementation, and deployment of computer-supported learning environments.

Registration Information

Online registration begins 12 April 2017. All payments must be made via PayPal (PayPal accepts all major credit cards). We do not accept any payments through cash and bank drafts. All prices are in US dollars. If you are paying via foreign currency, PayPal exchange rates for the day will apply if any currency conversion is needed. There is a discount for students reflected on the registration page.

Pre-Conference Workshop Registration Fees

The basic registration fee for the main conference includes:

• Participation in main conference sessions
• Conference information pack (including access to electronic proceedings and program)
• Welcome Reception on the night of Monday, 19 June 2017
• Lunch, morning and afternoon tea breaks from 20-22 June 2017

The basic registration fee does not include the following:

• The Conference Banquet on Wednesday, 21 June 2017. If you wish to participate in the Conference Banquet, payment has to be made separately during the registration process
• Participation in pre-conference workshops
• Hotel accommodations

Conference Banquet, Wednesday, June 21

The conference dinner will take place aboard a Spirit of Philadelphia cruise on the Delaware river. This cruise goes from 7:00-9:30 PM and includes a dinner buffet, views of the Philadelphia skyline and landmarks, and onboard entertainment. See the cruise route here.

Buses will transport people from the conference hotel to Penn’s Landing beginning around 6:30 PM and back to the hotel at end of evening. A $99 US fee is required to attend the event—that fee includes transportation and dinner costs. You can sign up for the cruise while paying registration fees or use this link to add the cruise if you have already completed registration.

The cruise is limited to 180 people, and signups are first-come, first-served.

Late Registration

If you cancel your registration before 20 May 2017, you will be refunded your registration fee minus a $50 administrative charge. Registrations cancelled after the cancellation deadline will not be eligible for a refund. All refunds will be credited back to the account from which the payment was made.

Important Pre-conference Events Registration Notes

(Workshops and Tutorials/Doctorial Consortia/Early Career Workshop/Mid Career Workshop)

• Some workshops may require some advance submissions. These requirements may have their own deadlines. Please read the information for each workshop carefully
• The fee for the pre-conference events depends on whether it is a full or half day event. Please make sure that you have paid accordingly
• You can only register for the pre-conference workshops after registering for the main conference
• If you are a workshop organiser, you do not need to pay the fee for the workshop that you are organising. However, you need to pay the registration fee for the main conference. Only a maximum of 3 organizers per workshop will be exempted under this provision
• All pre-conference events must be registered no later than 1 June 2017
• Full day workshop registration includes: tea/coffee breaks and lunch
• Half day workshop registration includes: tea/coffee break
• No early bird rates are available for pre-conference workshops and tutorials
