Directions for Presenters of Papers / Panels

 

Audience

 

There are, to date, over 360 registered for the CSCL 2003 conference.  There are 3 auditoriums (cinema style with graded rows of seats) where the paper/panel sessions will be held.

 

On Monday and Tuesday the papers/panels are divided into 2 or 3 parallel sessions (see Programme) and there are Interactive Events running parallel to the paper/panel sessions.  If everyone divides themselves evenly between the sessions, this means that you could have an audience of over 120.  The last paper session on Wednesday is an exception as it is the only session at that time.

 

Thus, be prepared for a large audience. The auditoriums hold 350, 250 and 150 persons so make sure your presentation does not have too small print.

 

Time Allocations

 

Each session has a session chair responsible for holding the session on time and to moderate the question period.  Please be prepared to hold your presentation within the following time frame:

 

Long Papers 

·        20 minutes presentation with 10 minutes for questions

 

Work-in-Progress Papers

·        15 minutes presentation with 5 minutes for questions

 

Equipment

 

Your will present your paper/panel in one of the auditoriums at the conference location.

In this room there will be

 

·        PC with

o       Windows 2000 or XP

o       Office 2000 or XP

·        Internet link

Video cannon

 

It is also possible to bring your own PC and cable it to the Video cannon.
